Summary
Splat does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Splat is a local utility that arranges windows on your Mac. It works entirely on your device.
What Splat does NOT do
- No analytics, telemetry, or usage tracking
- No crash reporting to any server
- No account, sign-in, or registration
- No network connections of any kind
- No third-party SDKs that send data off device
- No cookies, ad identifiers, or fingerprinting
What Splat stores locally
The following preferences are stored on your Mac (in
~/Library/Preferences/com.boiiboi.splat.plist and the macOS Login Items
database) and never leave your device:
- Your custom keyboard shortcuts for window actions
- Whether Splat starts at login
macOS permissions Splat asks for
Accessibility (System Settings → Privacy & Security → Accessibility) — required so Splat can move and resize the windows of your other apps when you trigger a shortcut. macOS requires explicit user grant for this. Splat reads no other information about other apps; it only sets window position and size.
Apple App Store privacy label
Because Splat collects no data, it is labeled “Data Not Collected” on the App Store.
